Educational Qualification required in becoming a Physical Therapist:
After you complete your High School it is better to complete your graduation in social sciences or pursue a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy itself. Institutions that offer physical therapy in the under graduate level is not very common. The graduation degree will last for four years. In order to conduct extensive practice as a physical therapist you will need a post graduation degree on the subject with your area of interest specified. Completion of the master’s degree will take around two complete years. When you think of opting for some science based graduation degree before doing a specialization in physical therapy then you must choose biology, mathematics, social science and chemistry within your course curriculum.
If you are planning on a doctoral degree then it is better that you start volunteering with the non governmental organizations from your graduation days. Some amount of professional insight is important to make you a good competitor in the field of physical therapy. When planning to pursue a career in this field in the United States then you must also qualify the National Physical Therapy Examination. This is a fee based examination.
Armed with degrees you will not be fully prepared to take on the challenges of a physical therapist you will also need to be good in communicating with your patients and treat them with care and compassion.
